Within TotK, temperatures or climate are defined for each FieldMapArea. To locate a specific FieldMapArea of interest, use the objmap.

Temperatures are defined for Day and Night along a set of elevations or heights from 0 m to 1000 m, these can be seen for all of the areas below. Each area also includes topography based on the heightmap.

To determine the average surface temperature, topography for each area was clipped from the heightmap and each remaining pixel as assigned a temperature based on the Temperature(elevation) profile for that area.

If the average value fell within a temperature defined range it was assigned as a Level 1 or Level 2 Hot / Cold region. Elevation histograms for each region are also shown on the y-axis of each image for reference.
